Partnership FAQs

Why giving is important?

Giving is a full ministry in itself, just as vital as prayer, evangelism, and teaching, because it is a form of worship and honoring God.

Was Paul primarily a tent maker or more of a fundraiser among the churches?

Like Peter, Paul was indeed a fundraiser! While he occasionally worked as a tent maker under specific circumstances, his primary focus was always on encouraging and facilitating giving among the churches. He often organized collections, such as those from the Gentile churches to support the poor in Jerusalem, as highlighted in 1 Corinthians 16:1-4, 2 Corinthians 8-9, and Romans 15:25-27. This fundraising effort not only provided for those in need but also helped to foster unity between Jewish and Gentile believers.

Paul’s approach demonstrates that although he valued self-sufficiency, he deeply understood the importance of communal support and generosity within the body of Christ.

Did Jesus ever raise funds?

Yes, Jesus Himself did fundraising, utilizing the model of having fundraising partners. Jesus and His disciples were supported by the contributions of followers, including women like Mary Magdalene, Joanna, and Susanna, who provided for their needs from their resources, as mentioned in Luke 8:1-3. This approach highlights that Jesus valued the generosity of others to support His ministry, demonstrating a collaborative model of resourcing God’s work through community support.

How does financial partnership in God's work reflect our role and responsibilities in His Kingdom?

God desires to reveal Himself through the body of Christ, displaying unity, care, and partnership among His people. Financial partnerships is not just about sharing your resources with a ministry; it’s an expression of faith, sacrifice, and love for others, rooted in trusting God’s provision. Throughout the Bible, we witness countless stories of God working alongside His people, demonstrating that His Kingdom is built through collaboration. While not everyone is called to be a full-time minister, everyone is invited to participate in His work. Financial partnership offers a unique opportunity to invest in His Kingdom, allowing us to be a blessing to others as we have been blessed. We believe that both the sower and the reaper will share equally in the joy and rewards of advancing God’s Kingdom together

How do legacy contributions help support our mission and address the needs of the body of Christ?

Over the past year, we faced various challenges, including a significant need for housing. Thanks to the generosity of ministries that offered us mission houses, we were able to deepen our trust in God’s provision. We want to keep the ball rolling.

Following the impact of Hurricane Byril, we also encountered families urgently needing temporary housing. This generosity moved us to pray for not just a home of our own, but also for the opportunity to open a faith center and provide housing for missionaries and others in need within the body of Christ.

Your legacy contributions will play a crucial role in supporting our mission to bless others by providing housing, vehicles, resources, hospitality, and a welcoming space for those in need. If you feel called to leave a legacy for our ministry, we would love to sit down with you, pray together, and seek God’s guidance in how best to steward your gift. If you would like to discuss this further, please feel free to contact us.
